Vegan Chocolate Cookies - Awesome To Be Vegan

How can baking biscuits ever be quick? You normally must acquire a scale, carefully measure out all the components, caress the dough to ages, then cut out small cookies in your heart, moon and star shapes then wait another century'til they're baked.

NEVER EVER could I bake biscuits under these conditions. That is just not how I roll. But then I stumbled upon these Banana Oatmeal Fitness Cookies (that is what I call them, anyway.)

Ok, they do not taste just like the biscuits you receive round Christmas time. Instead they are a little more gooey and do not crumble in any way.

But what mostly convinced me was that you can have them prepared in 25 minutes including the baking time! No shit.

Probably the most astonishing thing about the biscuits is they call for only 2 ingredients! Yep that's right, and anyone can mix two components.

Though in case you would like to make them even tastier and/or fitter you can pimp them up using some add ons such as peppers, walnuts or cinnamon. That's up to you!

It seems more and more like a sales pitch (it is not -- nobody's gonna pay me should you consume them), however I must mention one more amazing thing about these cookies.

They are tasty! Yep, once I'd had the very first I finished the remainder within an hour.

They're great for hiking trips or other occasions where you will need a quick pleasant bite on the move. Now I keep these as a fast bite in my back pack.

It must also be noted that they're vegan. No eggs, no milk, no none of the usual cookie suspects. Just oats and bananas.

Health Benefits -- Banana Oatmeal Fitness Cookies

First I wished to call them"Fitness Cookies" -- cause I still think these are the only truly healthy cookies that have yet been produced by humankind *.

Take oats for example. Not merely do they decrease your cholesterol levels which in turn will help you stop developing heart disease or diabetes, but in addition they energize you with good carbohydrates and nutrients to help keep you going for longer during the day.

Those nutrients contain manganese, great for bone creation and skin ethics in addition to magnesium -- important for energy production to allow you to feel fuller

Much like bananas -- the favorite fruit one of athletes -- not only cause they have an adequate number of good carbohydrates but for being the huge players in the potassium video game.

Potassium is a really important nutrient for avoiding tiredness and muscle cramps. Pretty good if you've got a tough day ahead of you.

As you can see, I'm a huge fan.

2 ripe bananas

1 cup rolled oats (oatmeal or porridge oats operate really well)

two tsp cinnamon

1 small number raisins

1 little number walnuts, crumbled

1 small handful sesame seeds, toasted

You can add pretty much anything you like!


Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F)

Get a bowl and mash the bananas until they're mushy

Add the cup of oats and some of the optional ingredients

Stir until all is well mixed

Put baking paper on the menu so that the cookies don't stick. If you do not official source possess that make sure to wash the baking tray with butter (or olive oil if you're vegetarian )

To create the cookie shape only grab a spoon and garnish an adequate sum from the mixture onto the baking tray like I did in the photograph above. It's super quick and effortless.

Off it goes into the oven for about 15 - 20 minutes.
